Station facilities

The station is managed by Network Rail and is staffed. The station is fully disability compliant with both escalators and lifts to all access points, plus stairs in addition. It is situated in the heart of the City Centre and is convenient for city centre attractions and public transport connections.

Car drop off point situated in Calton Road (access via Leith Street). Be aware that this is policed with CCTV to avoid illegal parking and over-length stays.

A variety of typical national shops available in the station – newsagent, chemist, sandwich bars, coffee bars, café, burger bar, mini supermarket. Friday morning market near Platform 3.

Train Information

Public Transport Connectivity

The majority of bus services serve the city centre. A detailed notice of bus stop locations is provided by, and only for, Lothian Buses outside the North door of the central enclosed concourse. Other bus operators – East Coast Buses, First Scotland East, Stagecoach, Perrymans and Edinburgh Coachlines do not provide this information within the station.
